Hardware Verification Engineer

Description

In this position, you will be responsible for managing hardware verification activities on next generation of IA platforms. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Planning and managing verification tasks based on requirements of EPSD server product development

- Developing hardware verification test plans and test tools for new design features

- Planning the schedule and perform the hardware verification tasks aligning with the schedule

- Leading the hardware verification engineers as the technical lead

- Responsible for making validation judgments on design issues and interfacing with development teams such as board design, BIOS and system development

 

Qualifications

You should possess a Master of Electronic Engineering degree with four years relevant experience, or a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering degree with five years relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with digital board evaluation, signal integrity, Cadence* board design tools and/or have experience determining root causes of tough technical issues. Demonstrating improvements in development processes due to technical issues is preferred. Additional qualifications include:

- Solid understanding of IA platform architecture

- Good knowledge of the working principle of components on desktop or server platforms

- Strong expertise of verifying desktop or server products in functional, electrical, stress and environmental aspects

- Self starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team environment

- Good verbal and written communication skills, as is a highly disciplined approach to problem solving

- Experience in Multi-Geo collaboration, multifunctional communication with Server board design, BIOS and chassis development teams

- Experience in leading a small task force to execute hardware testing for desktop or server product

- Test tool development skill would be an added advantage
