The position is for a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) in the Enterprise Platforms and Services Division (EPSD) Technical Marketing and Sustaining Engineering (TMSE) Group. In this position, you will be focusing on Company developed server boards, chassis and systems.  Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assuring completeness all aspects of the Company developed Xeon® Server Systems
- Resolving difficult technical problems, investigation and disposition of errata
- Writing Technical documents
- Representing customer technical needs
- Developing and presenting technical product training and enabling materials to Company Resellers, OEMs, and Channel OEMs
- Interacting with Field Sales, Company Customer Support, and the worldwide Application Design-in Centers (ADC) to help resolve customer technical questions/issues
- Participating in customer visits; Develop and provide technical presentations

 

 

You should possess a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) with four or more years of experience and be able to speak English and Mandarin fluently, as well as a good communications in English and Chinese. Additional qualifications include:
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technical expertise and insights in a team environment and exhibit strong customer orientation
- Ability to identify, investigate, and solve customer problems both technically and business wise while under pressure
- Good overall understanding of server hardware and LAN/WAN network operation
- Demonstrated knowledge of hardware engineering documentation and processes 
- Demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills required in the development of technical documents and presentations to customers, Company conferences, and trade shows world wide
- Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-geography teams

The position is for a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) in the Enterprise Platform and Services Division (EPSD) Technical Marketing and Sustaining Engineering (TMSE) Group. In this position, you will be focusing on the supporting Company® Multi-Flex Server Systems hardware (servers, chassis, switches, storage). Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for the technical interface for alpha, beta, and silver customer support, customer interface involving weekly technical meetings
- Resolving difficult technical problems as well as investigation and disposition of errata
- Driving resolution to sales and customer issues by working with EPSD engineering and third party suppliers
- Keeping sales force and customers updated with the latest product information/ documentation/change notification and provide post sales support in support of EPSD business objectives
- Developing and/or maintaining customer collateral and prepare and/or present effective technical presentations and demonstrations for use in customer visits, training sessions, and trade shows
- Providing input and key learning from current products and/or customers to new product development teams, representing customer technical needs

 

 

You should possess a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) with six or more years of directly related experience and be able to speak English and Mandarin fluently, as well as a good written communications in Chinese and English. Additional qualifications include:
- Excellent overall understanding of Company® architecture based servers and system software, BIOS and firmware, together with server management software
- Working knowledge of Ethernet LANs, network switch configuration and management, SAS/SATA Storage configuration and management, Windows* 2003/2008 Advanced Server, Red Hat* Linux AS5.0, SuSE* Linux Enterprise Server 10 together with integration of networked application software
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technical expertise and insights in a team environment and exhibit strong customer orientation
- Demonstrated ability to listen, understand, and respond professionally to customer questions/complaints
- Work independently, and exhibit strong influential skills and customer orientation
- Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-geography teams
- Experience working with MNC's, and experience creating 'customer ready' collateral
- Experience on server virtualization software (such as VMware*) or storage products would be an added advantage

- Contributing as a team member in defining product leadership, investigation and disposition of customer issues and product errata, authoring technical documents, and the development and presentation of training material during the concept, development, and revenue phases of these products
- Interacting with many internal and external teams/customers, including Company Resellers, OEMs and Channel OEMs, design and development teams, and other product stakeholders
- Resolving technical problems especially with RAID and Storage products
- Providing input and key learning from current products and/or customers to new product development teams, representing customer technical needs as well as participating in customer visits as needed
- Supporting of trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings
