Responsibilities:
  1. Establishes project scope by working with customers and team members to understand business drivers; discover and validate business and technical requirements and parameters; obtain input from subject-matter experts. Defining and executing all phases of complex, global projects using defined Project Management controls
  2. Develops solution by formulating objectives; planning project life-cycle deliverables and resource availability and application; preparing installation and modification specifications; leading the exploration, evaluation, and design of technical solutions, monitoring and facilitating projects; identifying and prioritizing project issues; coordinating resolution of issues; ensuring project objectives are met
  3. Implements solution by monitoring project progress; tracking action items; conducting design and implementation reviews; examining, researching, and resolving issues; escalating issues to appropriate authority; responding to team members' concerns; following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements
  4. Managing multiple, key Operations projects and teams simultaneously; developing and reviewing project requirements; reviewing and evaluating project activities, progress and results; ensuring project time lines and budgets are met
  5. Managing customer expectations by building relationships; communicating project status and open issues; preparing status reports; conducting reviews and issue meetings; discovering new issues
  6. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  7. Facilitating project team-related issues; develops consensus among team members; monitoring and reviewing team outputs; troubleshooting problem situations; providing managerial oversight; assigning team member roles as needed.
  8. Consulting with management regarding projects status; providing trend analysis, review of projects, and updates; providing input and recommends solutions to management. Tracking and reporting on progress of multiple major projects, as well as defining dependencies in order to achieve project goals
  9. Communicating and interacting with teams, management, employees, other departments, vendor representatives, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, resolve problems or give advice/direction; functions as high level interface with business segments as needed
  10. Improving Project Management processes in Operations, and ensuring the use of Project Management standards across the parties involved in a project
  11. Partnering with other members to design, develop, and rollout additional operational practices in areas, including:
    1. Risk Management
    2. Metrics measurement
    3. Incident/Problem management
    4. Workflow
    5. Knowledge management
  12. Providing principal contact for all project-level communications
Required Skills:
  1. This individual should be an experienced Project Manager in the Operations space who is able to:
    1. Execute global projects across the full Lifecycle.
    2. Incorporate standards and Best Practices in their approach.
    3. Assist in ensuring the use of defined Project Management methods across the organization.
  2. The individual should have experience with projects involving multiple technologies and associated operational processes.
  3. Deep understanding of Project Management and Development Lifecycle – requirements through implementation and maintenance
  4. Must have a proven track record of successfully managing software projects for external customers. Evidence of successful team leadership for multiple project Lifecycles
  5. Strong leadership presence with project teams and external counterparts
  6. Ability to work independently, analyze problems, and make decisions with minimal management intervention
  7. Ability to proactively involve key users in all stages of the Project Lifecycle
  8. Ability to anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans to overcome them
  9. Exceptional written, public speaking, and presentation skills
  10. Awareness of new and existing technologies, architectures, and Best Practices
  11. A high degree of oral and written communication proficiency and organizational skills.
  12. 3+ years of related experience with 5+ years experience overall. 
  13. Experience managing projects with offshore / geographically distributed development / QA resources a plus.
Education
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering, Science or equivalent field
