Description
The position is for a senior Hardware Engineer with the Enterprise Platforms and Server Division (EPSD) based at the Company ZhiZhu site. In this position, you will be responsible for server platform products with focus on technical ownership and responsibility of printed circuit boards in a production environment. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Interfacing and working with outsourced vendors and Outsource Design partners as related to product technical issues, factory excursion management and engineering change orders (evaluation and implementation) - Working closely with Technical Marketing Engineering to investigate and resolve server platform technical and/or engineering issues, provide clear and accurate status updates, and methodically determine the next steps towards a final Root Cause and resolution of hardware issues on products - Coordinating technical brainstorming sessions, direct activities of junior engineers, and potentially interface directly with customers on critical issues - Mentoring and coaching junior engineers on debug techniques, identifying factory and/or customer friendly solutions, and guidance in making return on investment (ROI) business decisions
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a three to five years experience. Additional qualifications include: - Strong knowledge of Company Server architectures - Knowledge of board manufacturing - Strong board level debug skills and the ability to analyze complex electronic circuits and systems - Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of handling multiple critical issues, and be a strong team player - Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and/or cross functional teams - Experience with Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes - Experienced with Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, In Circuit Emulators, and In Target Test Probes (ITPs and XDPs) - An understanding of 32 and 64 bit OSs and networking environments would be an added advantage - Basic understanding of motherboard interaction with BIOS and server firmware would be an added advantage - Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin would be an added advantage) both verbal and written
