Description
The position is for an Engineering Manager with the Enterprise Platforms and Server Division (EPSD) based at the Company ZhiZhu site. In this position, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers focused on technical ownership and responsibility of server motherboards, chassis, and systems in a production environment. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Managing a team of six to eight Individual Contributor engineers of varying roles and responsibilities - Driving critical issues and interface with senior management, providing daily management and/or executive updates, lead brainstorming sessions, review and providing input into customer communications - Maintaining the health and morale of a team responsible for insuring Customers and Factories are at full production, responding to technical issue, interfacing with major Customers, resolving customer and factory excursions - Driving excursions, driving cross-functional cross-company teams, and closing issues - Responsible for all component excursions, qualifying second and/or alternate sources, driving cost reductions and any required engineering change order. This team is the primary interface to the factories and customers for all technical issues and/or excursions on EPSD products
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with five to seven years experience in the high tech field. Additional qualifications include: - Proven leadership skills in a team environment and ability to provide direction in an ambiguous environment - Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred) both written and verbal - Demonstrated disciplined approach to problem solving and ability to make business decisions in a technical environment - Prior management experience would be an added advantage as is Program Management - A strong technical background would be an added advantage with excellent communication skills, and must be a self starter
