Company Communications Technology Lab (CTL) is a lab within Company China Research Center (ICRC) in Beijing. Its mission is to make CTL lab the best Communications Technology research and technology development lab in China. Its charter includes conducting world-class research and technology development, partner with Company biz groups to max cross-architecture value and drive Company communications technology leadership in China.

 

Responsibilities

This Wireless Technical Lead/Wireless Technical Manager is responsible for leading the wireless team in CTL Beijing in actively participating in and contributing to the evolutive wireless technologies and standard, like 802.16e, 3GPP LTE, TD-SCDMA.

The Candidate will need to work closely with US and Asia-pacific team for driving the local and international wireless research and development direction, issues, decisions, and collaboration. The candidate is responsible for leading the team to provide technical analysis, research, design, advanced ideas and simulation result for driving target project success and technology convergence; and may also need to lead the team to contribute innovative ideas to standard body as needed.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

-          Driving the key issues and decisions in technical, process and project plan, interfacing with other labs internal and external

-          Leading the direction of the team research and development plan for short term and long term

-          Responsible for leading and organizing research and development in different phases

-          Help to build team work and spirit

 

Qualifications     

     You must possess a PhD/MS degree in EE or related area with 6+/8+ years experience on wireless research and development， is preferred with 3+ years of progressive increase in leadership responsibilities. Additional qualifications include:

-          Strong technical, communication, and process skills

-          Broad and deep knowledge in wireless communication.

-          Demonstrated leadership of research or technology development teams and the ability to solve key technical/non-technical issues, and plan and deliver multiple programs with a well-defined timeline

-          Experience in managing prototype and/or system development related activities would be an added advantage

-          Development experience in baseband processing. MAC layer above experience is a plus.

-          Research and/or Development experience in one of the systems including WiMAX, 3GPP LTE, WCDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA

-          Strong knowledge in OFDM system

-          Experience in the WIMAX, 3GPP standard and contribution is a plus.

-          Familiar with wireless system level design, and its methodology.

-          Familiar with wireless simulation method and tools

-          The candidate must be a good team player, self motivated, fully-confident, and proactive in daily work

-          Excellent oral and written English are required
