1. POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of the position is to be in charge of facility mechanical systems in order to ensure the organization achieves the highest level of its business goal.
 
2.  RESPONSIBILITIES:
l          Develop and maintain standard operation procedures for mechanical equip/systems
l          Timely conduct quality system audit for mechanical system
l          Lead team continuously improve mechanical system quality, reliability, efficiency, operating/maintenance cost management
l          Forecast mechanical system related cost forecast, inclusive operating/ maintenance/spare part cost, and control expending within budget
l          Provide support to BB (base built) & TI (tool installation) design of mechanical system in order to make sure design meet Company standard
l          Provide engineering solutions for incident related to mechanical system and proactively prevent issues from happening
l          Lead benchmarking activities with partners within and outside Company
 
3.      Expectation to this position:
l          Technical/Functional Knowledge: Demonstrates application of engineering principles, theories and concepts in a specific discipline, while having knowledge of other related disciplines. Uses functional knowledge in applying value engineering techniques. Qualified in a specialized field.
l          Management Responsibilities: Provides general supervision to lower level engineers and/or non-exempt employees. Accountabilities include work and people scheduling, performance management and hiring decisions. Plans, prioritizes and directs work of subordinates based on general policies and management guidance. Guides subordinates to the timely solution of several related tasks and problems. Regularly reports on units’ attainment of schedules and objectives.
l          Decision Making Capability/Impact: Capable of anticipating and making sound technical decisions in the field on moderately complicated assignments to ensure projects remain safe, on schedule and within budget. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense. May impact the scheduling of work within other organizations. May impact the attainment of project objectives.
l          Project Leadership: Assigned when appropriate as project leader. Routinely designated as requiring practical application of engineering concepts. Required to plan and coordinate the activities of other engineers in order to achieve the required results. May be assigned as project manager on appropriate projects/tasks.
l          Problem Identification/Solution: Identifies and develops design/operational problems by creatively applying proven technology/techniques which are functional and maintainable application of continuous improvement principles in providing solutions to identified problems/processes.
l          Interpersonal Skills and Relationship: As appropriate, may be required to present ideas/recommendations, successfully represent the organization on a routine basis interfacing with internal customers, consultants, vendors and government agencies on moderately complicated assignments primarily to internal customers or consultants and may interface with government agencies as required.
 
4.      KEY RELATIONSHIP WITH:
Internal contacts:
l          Strong functional line of reporting with: Facility Manager
l          Liaise with other facility functional groups under CS and F-JEM/M-JET leaders in region
l          Work closely with: Construction; AMAP; CMS; Manufacture; EHS

¡¡ì¹      Horizontal: Job rotation to other functional groups (depends on the individual’s strength & willingness)
