Responsibilities and Details
A Project Engineer in Corporate Services Construction [CSC] is responsible for scope development, engineering, and design to enable the construction of various buildings, facilities and the installation of manufacturing equipment to support semiconductor fabrication facilities including support buildings and systems. Individual will interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, and estimating resources, and internal Company organizations to enable facility development efforts for their engineering discipline. Efforts will include definition of design criteria, development of design concepts, completion of detailed design, development of project budgets, schedules, and safety requirements, and facilitating project commissioning activities. Since projects move between locations, a CSC PE must be willing to travel which includes temporary business assignment up to or greater 12 months. Responsible for the engineering and design of Mechanical Systems and HVAC Systems for multiple projects of varying complexity. Initial responsibility include the construction period supervision of Safety, Schedule, QAQC, Commissioning and Engineering support of F68 construction activities.
Qualifications
Candidate must have good English written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and have a working knowledge of office personal computer applications. Candidate must have an ability to interface with a multi-user customer base and manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity. Familiarity with Codes is preferred. Candidate should have experience managing design of clean room HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Proficiency with reading and interpreting construction contract documents required. Familiarity with design and sizing methods for bulk gas and bulk chemical distribution systems desired. Experience with construction, startup, and turnover of facilities mechanical systems is valued. Candidate should have basic knowledge and understanding of control methods for mechanical systems. Requires B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable qualification, with 5 to 8 years of experience in design and construction of Mechanical and HVAC systems or relevant work experience in other large industrial, building or engineering projects..
